The Velcourt Summer Conference - Cotswolds 2012

An Oilseed Rape trials day on May 2, organised by Velcourt and Openfield at Porters Farm in Deeping St Nicholas, Peterborough, saw representatives from Velcourt and the wider farming industry speaking to around 150 farmers and agronomists.

In the third collaborative session of regional crop walks that enables Velcourt farm managers to discuss any technical crop issues, developments and ideas from within the group there was much to debate.

The huge cost of nitrogen and the environmental concerns surrounding its use..

A group of 26 students from the Royal Agricultural and Business Academy of Denmark-Dalum Landbrugsskole recently visited Velcourt's farming operations based near Stamford.

Velcourt farm managers work closely together to share information regionally and nationally to ensure their colleagues are aware of any technical crop issues, developments and ideas from within the group.

Knowing where a particular trait can be found in the complex genetic make-up of a wheat plant is now a reality for plant breeding companies.

On 28th February Velcourt held a technical meeting at the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa, near Lincoln, the event was attended by an invited group of land owners and managers.
