Fusarium management headlines at Velcourt’s 2013 Technical Conference

2013 Velcourt Technical Conference

The end of January saw the entire Velcourt farm management team gather in Warwick for our annual technical conference.  At this annual two day event Directors, farm Managers, agronomists and assistant mangers convene to review the latest independent results from the previous harvest.  It is a great opportunity for knowledge sharing and transfer and with the weather patterns of 2012 there was much to discuss and review.

Headed up by Velcourt’s Technical director Keith Norman, it enables all the extensive in-house trials work to be communicated to the farm management team ensuring they are fully briefed on the latest ideas and technology in advance of the new growing season.

It is also a great opportunity for a number of outside speakers to present on the latest scientific and legislative developments in UK crop growing and agriculture and for members of the Velcourt team to update the group on internal activities.

This year the key subjects presented on were:

  1. Velcourt’s 2012 Harvest Trial Results        Keith Norman
