Grain Carters – Pewsey, Wiltshire

JM Strong & Partners is seeking two reliable and hardworking Grain Carters to join the team for the upcoming harvest season, starting on 6th July and running through to the end of Harvest at the end of August/beginning of September. 

Located across two farming units, the 900-hectare JM Strong & Partners arable operation grows combinable crops alongside land managed under environmental stewardship agreements. 

Duties & Responsibilities:      

As a Grain Carter, you will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient running of the harvest. Working closely with our experienced harvest team, you will be responsible for:  

• Operating Case IH Puma tractors carrying out grain carting and other general tractor work, including secondary cultivations, rolling and topping. 

• Loading lorries and assisting with managing grain storage sites. 

• General farm and estate work over the harvest period. 

  Candidate Requirements:    

• Applicants must be minimum 18 years old, hold full UK driving license  

• Some experience of operating farm machinery is required 

• A Telescopic forklift certificate is an advantage, but full training can be provided for the right person. 

• Applicants must be able to show evidence of the right to work in the UK.
