The Role
Mawthorpe Farming is seeking a reliable and hardworking Grain Dryer Operator to join the team for the upcoming harvest season, starting on 6th July and running through to the end of Harvest in September.
Located in the Lincolnshire Wolds near Alford, between Louth and Skegness, the 1,500-hectare Mawthorpe Farms arable unit grows feed wheat, malting barley, oilseed rape, beans, and vining peas. The farm operates a wide range of modern machinery and utilises central storage facilities of 7,500 tonnes at the Wellbeck Grain Store, with an additional 2,500-tonne store in Willoughby village.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Running the 10,000 tonne central grain store using a JCB Loadall telehandler. The store is made up of two bulk stores of 2,500 tonnes each, a 3,600 tonne drying floor store and a series of smaller blowing floor sheds.

Responsibile for the management of all grain entering the farm which will include operating a modern 30t/hr Svegma continuous flow dryer.

Other general farm work will be required at times, including grain store cleaning, machinery maintenance, mowing with front and rear flail mowers, hedge cutting and Cambridge rolling.
Candidate Requirements:

Previous grain-handling experience would be beneficial however training can be provided for the right candidate.

Full UK Driving Licence required.

A telehandler certificate is essential, but training can be provided for the right person.

Autumn general farm work will be available for the right candidate.

Minimum 18yrs old

A positive, friendly and motivated attitude is essential.

Applicants must be able to show evidence of the right to work in the UK.
