The Role
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Herdsperson to join our friendly team on a well-managed 200-cow autumn block-calving dairy farm in the beautiful North Dorset countryside.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with livestock and wants to develop their skills in a progressive dairy farming environment. Whether you're an experienced herdsperson or looking to build your career in the dairy industry, we'd love to hear from you.
The role will include:
- Milking the herd
- Grazing and pasture management
- Youngstock care
- Assisting the Farm Manager with the day-to-day running of the farm
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Enjoys working with livestock and takes pride in high standards of animal care
- Can work independently as well as part of a small, supportive team
- Has dairy farming experience (preferred but not essential)
Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their knowledge and develop a long-term career in dairy farming.
